PC: Dragon Age Origins
First rate fantasy role-playing game in the mould of the classic Baldur's Gate series. The story is compelling (despite sounding fairly generic on paper), with some genuinely difficult moral choices to be made, and the characters generally memorable and well-acted. And with around 100 hours or play for $10 less than Modern Warfare 2, it's excellent value for money too.
