Played the demo of Mirror's Edge on the PS3 at the weekend. It's very nice.
Apart from a lack of anti-aliasing, the rooftop level where the demo takes place looks and plays as good as it does in the trailers. Leaping over and sliding under obstacles is fluid and hugely fun, and the first-person perspective is novel and well implemented.
If the demo is anything to go by, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of a death penalty though (you just respawn from a point pretty much right before you died), which might make it a bit too easy.
I found the combat a little awkward, as I do with most console titles (I need a mouse), but since the game isn't primarily about the combat, it wouldn't stop me picking this up on the PS3 rather than the PC. Especially given 1) the sweeping cityscapes, which are bound to look better on a big TV and 2) the fact that this is released on the PS3 in a couple of weeks but not on the PC until the start of next year.
